Dear CE Friends,

We are proud to announce that a new chapter in history is beginning for China Entrepreneurs, as we bring our ¡°Start Up 101 Series¡± to the great city of Shanghai. We had a dream that one day we would continue our mission outside of Beijing. Now, that dream is coming true as we launch ¡°China Entrepreneurs Shanghai¡±.

Over the course of five years in Beijing, thousands of entrepreneurs have attended our events, listened to countless presentations. From successful entrepreneurs, investors, and people who love the world of entrepreneurship, all have walked away with valuable techniques and insight on how to elevate their business. Today, we wish to bring that spirit to Shanghai!

For this Shanghai kickoff event in May, we evaluate ¡°The State of Entrepreneurship in China.¡± The economy continues to steam ahead and entrepreneurs are right at the center of that growth, but what form has ¡°entrepreneurship¡± taken in China? What does it take to be an entrepreneur in China? What is the key to being a successful entrepreneur? What can China¡¯s budding entrepreneurs learn from more experienced markets? And what is the state of China¡¯s entrepreneurship community today and where will it be in five years?

Our speakers will help us to examine these issues, share with us their successful experiences in entrepreneurship and help us figure out if we have what it takes to be a successful entrepreneur. We are happy to welcome Jack Perkowski, Chairman and CEO of ASIMCO Technologies Limited; Raymond Chang, CEO and Founder of Lucky Pai and Rocky Lee, Partner, China Head of VC/PE Practice of DLA Piper.

For those of you have attended our Beijing events, we hope you can reach out to your Shanghai friends and let them know that ¡°China Entrepreneurs is coming to Shanghai¡±. We hope that with this launch, we will continue to promote the spirit of entrepreneurship in China in partnership with these new friends. We welcome any feedback or new ideas as we make this big leap. We look forward to seeing you in May.

Sincerely,

Eric L. Schmidt
